Punctal cautery

Hi!
Some good/ bad news
For anyone that read my previous posts, I made it to Asia and have had the best two weeks. Eyes included as I think the humid weather helps.
However im 95% sure my top plugs have come out, probably due to me having been a lot more active here than at home....

MaquiBright

I ordered two bottles of maquibright today, gonna try it for the first time.

Any good experiences with it?

Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) and dry eye

Following is an excerpt from the TFOS DEWS II Management and Therapy report, relating to essential fatty acids and their role in dry eye, both in terms of risk and potential to help treat/manage dry eye. I've taken the liberty of highlight some parts that I found of most interest.

I have...

Are you severely disabled? I would like to hear from you.

I am, happened like 4 years ago, some unknown disease unlike anything I've heard of by doctors or online, I have dry eyes but it seems to be caused by some problem in either my lacrimal gland or the nerves connecting the lacrimal gland to the eye/brain. I get extremely disabling pain in my lacrimal...

3rd IPL

Been a while, just thought I'd post. 3rd IPL has worked extremely well, so recently had it on Friday of last week. All of my oil glands are producing nice oil, no blockage or bad oil. It's going how it should be. I asked about relief and i was told I should get some as the weeks go in (assuming itll...

gland function/images (doctor expresses glands with thumb/q-tip see if 'clear' oil...

A message of hope

I'm better. Actually much better. I never thought three years ago that this would ever again be the case. Burning every waking moment. Eyelids sticking to my eyeballs at night. Significant depression. No real desire to continue on. I had zero Schirmer in one eye and 2mm in the other. My Lipiview...

Is Blephasteam worth it?

I am thinking of buying Blephasteam as warm eye compress does not work for me whatever temperature/length of time I try, and the only relief I get is when I am in the shower and just after so I think steam helps, albeit just for a brief while.

Is anyone here finding good results using this...

How do I get Ikervis in the UK?

I have been suffering from dry eye (non-stop burning and bloodshot eyes) since last December. So far nothing has worked - eye drops/ointments/vitamin supplements/warm eye compresses/punctal plugs/FML steroids.

The ophthalmologists at Moorfields say they cannot give me anything stronger,...
