TFOS DEWS II: What it is, and why it's here on the forum

For those of you who are hearing of TFOS DEWS II for the first time, it is, quite simply, the dry eye bible when it comes to the medical side of understanding, diagnosing and treating dry eye.

This massive report, published in summer of 2017, is the result of...

So I decided to take some of my time and create this thread, it might be very useful for a lot of you who're suffering with the dry eye. Over the last 10 years I've tested over 100 supplements/vitamins and minerals to see which ones can help with my dry eye issue, I have to say that...

Study on dry eye in cataract patients

I thought I would share this study by researchers at the University of Miami published this month in the journal Cornea.

It shows that about 1/3 of people undergoing cataract surgeries still report significant levels of pain manifesting as dry eye-like symptoms 6 months after surgery. According...

Small changes that have helped me/things I've observed.

I signed up for the forums mid-August of this year, when I was on vacation and feeling very crummy. Upon returning home, I began observing several things that I'd like to share, which may (or may not) be helpful in tackling dry eyes. Note: I suffer from MGD and aqueous deficiency.

I had great success when using Ikervis and the steroid Prednisolone. 0.5%. My eyes were back to normal. I was producing tears and not really needing lubricating eye drops. Since stopping the steroid though my eyes have become dry and painful again. Has anyone been able to combine cyclosporine (ikervis)....

Punctual plugs help!!!

Hello, my name is Darlene and I'm new to the site. I suffer from moderate dry eye and had punctual plugs inserted in both eyes on 8/15/18. They have helped with the sandy, gritty feeling that I've had daily on the inside of my upper eyelids. However ever since I've had them placed I have gotten headaches,...

Dry eyes and cannabis, pot, weed in 2018

Hello everyone, I tend to believe this may be a controversial topic. However, I also believe this topic isn't discussed nearly enough and could be useful . When I first found the site, I was searching for people that smoked/ate cannabis like myself and how they did so with dry eyes. I found one thread...
