Hi guys new here - I got MGD - Feeling 80% better

Hi All,


I got a strange feeling of foreign body and dry eye on my left eye, After a trip abroad a month ago.

After seeing an OD. all they told me is i have bumps on the lower lid? gave me some steroid drops.

Those drops were ineffective and didn't work....
 

Eye drops for dry eye from japan

Has anyone tried the japanese eye drops called diquafosol tetrasodium?
actually used the drops? Do they work? Do they make your eyes make tears?
is it effective? Can you see clearer? Is it easier to read?

had extremely dry eyes for years, dont make tears. Vision is variably...
 

Lipid Layer Thickness - what is the average?

Hi. Just been to a Dry Eye Centre in London and had Lipview where I was told my lip layer thickness was 70 but not too worry as it wasn’t far off 100 which is normal. . I have since checked and have found out that normal is 70 and not 100!! Can someone confirm I have researched this correctly....
 

Softacort, soft steroid twice a week.

Is using softacort twice a week along with ikervis to help control imflammation likely to cause me a steroid related issue? It's preseverative free and a soft steroid that doesn't pentrate the eye much if at all I think I was told? Thanks for any thoughts on this....
 

What color tinted glasses help the most with red eyes?

I suffer from dry eyes, I have tried lipiflow, all the drops you can imagine and nothing has helped. I kind of given up on fixing my eyes, but at least when I am in the office I want to be as least self conscious as possible. I am thinking to start wearing glasses that are tinted to hide the red eyes....
 

A question regarding cauterisation...

Evening all,

It has been a long time since I last posted on this forum. My eyes have improved considerably following a procedure for temporary eye plugs (upper and lowers). Unfortunately, my uppers are reluctant to stay in! My doctor has recommended that I get my upper tear ducts cauterised...

Topical anti-inflammatory

Hi,

I have ongoing inflammation of my lower lids below the lash line. Every time I try to have it addressed I'm given drops to put IN my eyes. The listed side effects of the drops scare me and I worry they will make things worse. Does anyone know if there is a topical cream I could use...
