LASIK, suicide, and depression - a warning

I am writing this not to "get attention", but as a warning to anyone thinking about getting LASIK. I have heard so many people say there is no way LASIK complications can make someone suicidal. Well guess what. It can. The complications and...

My fears [TRIGGER WARNING]

had no clue where to put this, so I figured this is part of my story...letís talk about that.

I know now that Iím feeling very good right now, not perfect by any means, but Iím getting along fine. My fear is for my future. I cam barely enjoy how I feel because I know, inevitably, this problem...

I'm posting as a guest. Why don't I see my post yet?

For those who want to participate with complete anonymity (i.e. not creating a user profile at all), you are very welcome to do so.

However, because we get a lot of spam posted that way, new guest posts have to be approved. We try to keep on top of them, but sometimes we miss them or they...

What helped you at your darkest times?

I want to open a dialogue about suicide.

I know many here have been in that dark place where you’ve seriously contemplated it. Some have attempted it but are (thankfully!) still with us. Some like Kim who shared her full story with us had a long hard road to come back - but made it...

About this depression forum

Hi everybody,

This was an archive folder with a lot of closed threads. I've moved it up to the discussion forums.

After having exhausted most treatments available (Lipiflow which gave close to no relief and Probing which gave full relief but only for 2 weeks), I had my first IPL treatment done today.

My TBU before treatment is 3 seconds in both eyes.

Will keep this thread updated with...

Improvement?

For the past week or so, I have had headaches and nausea from the extreme blurriness and light sensitivity caused by my dry eye. My doctor has me on prednisolone along with Retaine tears and ointment. The last few days I have used the heated eye mask along with eyelid massage consistently, which I...

Improvement?

For the past week I have had blurriness and light sensitivity to the point of causing nausea and headaches from my dry eye. The doctor currently has me on prednisolone along with Retaine tears and ointment. A few days ago I began consistently using the heated eye mask and eyelid massage, something I...

My Story / Questions about Meibomian Gland Probing

Hello,

First can I say- this website has been a blessing. I wouldn't be where I am today with my condition if it wasn't for info I found on here.

I am a 39 year old female in Dallas, TX and have been diagnosed with oil and aqueous deficiency. I had LASIK about 7 years ago,...

Spironolactone and bleph inflammation and tearing

I just wanted to point something out that wasn't obvious to me until very recently, and may help someone else out.

I've been taking spironolactone for the past year for an unrelated heart health issue.
And, coincidentally, this past year, i've also had the worst eye-tearing and discharge...
